Each November, over 10,000 spectators and 2000 students attend the Civil war Weekend to watch the best Civil War reenactment this side of the Mississippi on the grounds of Liendo Plantation, a national registered historical site. Liendo Plantation was built in 1853 by Leonard Waller Groce, the son of Jared Groce, who was one of the largest most respected land owners in Texas. Originally a Spanish land grant of 67,000 acres assigned to Justo Liendo, the plantation's namesake, Liendo was one of Texas' earliest cotton plantations.
Among those attending are discerning corporations that recognize the value of entertaining their clients, friends and employees in a relaxed, fun and most of all, educational atmosphere. This provides corporations a significant and unparalleled marketing opportunity.
Grounds open at 9 A.M. and battles are waged at 2 pm each day. Pleased by the entertainment value of the day, your company will return year after year. For further information about corporate tents and sponsorship opportunities, please call the 11th Texas Cavalry at (936) 931-2811.
The 11th Texas Cavalry is a 501c(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible
